Sometimes, disputes can be settled outside of the courtroom or before they ever escalate to the level of hiring an attorney. Mediation is the best tool to determine if a settlement can be reached in a particular matter. Mediation involves a third party neutral (the mediator) who helps guide the conflicted parties through the process of resolving the dispute. When it is successful, it can save parties thousands of dollars in legal fees.
